Starting with our finest Guatemalan coffee beans, we age and churn them in a Kentucky Bourbon barrel until they are perfectly infused. From there, the bourbon-infused beans are hand-roasted in small batches to a medium-dark roast creating the one-of-a-kind flavor profile of Velvet Ditch Coffee Roasters’ BOLD BUCK.
The depths of flavor found in BOLD BUCK reflect the rare spirits of the Kentucky bourbon barrel in which these Guatemalan beans churned. Best served as a pour over, drip, French press, on ice and even over your favorite ice cream. It can also be used in pound cakes and martinis for a special treat!

A fascination with bourbon. A passion for coffee. BOLD BUCK brings both together through the craft of Velvet Ditch Coffee Roasters’ founder and roaster, Lesley Vance Walkington.
Drawing on her knowledge of bourbon and her understanding of coffee, Lesley thoughtfully pairs beans with bourbon barrels, considering how their individual characteristics will complement one another. Following previous releases seasoned in Blanton’s and Woodford Reserve barrels, this year’s BOLD BUCK pairs Guatemala Baja Verapaz beans with a freshly dumped, once-used charred American oak barrel that held Old Forester President’s Choice Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky.
Seasoned in the barrel before roasting, this limited batch reflects Lesley’s curiosity, careful selection and love of bringing distinctive flavors together.
