“Coffee is similar to wine, craft beer or spirits, where the enjoyment is in the nuanced flavor of the beans themselves,” Velvet Ditch Coffee Roasters’ Owner Lesley Walkington said.  “A Cupping Experience gives coffee enthusiasts the opportunity to experience comparative tasting, evaluating the flavor characteristics of three coffees side by side. The key to developing your own sense of taste is to smell and taste different coffees, assessing what’s in the cup. It’s a very memorable experience,” Lesley said.

Experiences are based on mutually agreed-upon dates with the experience being redeemed within one year (by 12/2024). You’ll be notified via email or text, when you win.

Also, mark your calendar to attend YAC’s Annual Ornament Auction on December 8th from 6-8pm. Enjoy music, food, a Velvet Ditch Coffee Bar, cocktails and handmade ornaments to be auctioned off.
Proceeds from the auctions support the Arts Council’s work to promote the arts as a cultural and economic driver in Lafayette County.
About the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council:

Founded in 1972 with a mission to ensure a place for arts in the community, the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council offers a diverse range of programs, professional development services, and support to serve both artists and residents in Lafayette County. The staff, board, and volunteers work to support 300 days of arts programs annually. Programs offer opportunities and resources for students and emerging artists while providing support to over 20 different arts organizations including live theatre, dance, concerts, creative arts classes, culinary experiences, film screenings, festivals, and more.
